Eric is now a freshman at the University of North Dakota, in Grand Forks, ND, pursuing a dual major in Aviation Management and Air Traffic Control.

At home, Eric likes to work on his MacBook or his home-built PC. He has been creating web sites using Ajax, CSS and PHP with MySQL, on his Transwonder web site.

He also spends some time playing video games on his PlayStation/2, which has a network adapter so that he can play games online. He also has a Sony PSP which gets a fair deal of use! He got a PS3 last Christmas, so now he's enjoying gaming in High Definition!

One of Eric's interests has been with Flight Simulator. He has found that there are virtual airlines online that connect to virtual air traffic control, link to real weather conditions, and fly the same routes as the commercial airlines.

He has been involved in the Virtual Denver Air Route Traffic Control Center as a virtual air traffic controller, trainer, webmaster, events coordinator, and Air Traffic Manager.

Thanks to my uncle, Bill Yantiss, Eric had the opportunity to spend a couple of hours in a full-motion Boeing 757 flight simulator at the United training center in spring 2006. He also had the opportunity to spend some time with a long-time friend and neighbor, Captain Chris Habig, in an Airbus A320 simulator during some training exercises.

In addition to listening to music on his iPod, Eric has also been learning to play both guitar and bass guitar over the past few years.

He's mainly been focusing on playing bass. He had an Ibanez GSR 200FM Tri-Fade Burst bass, which was stolen from his guitar class at the end of middle school.

We replaced it with an Ibanez BTB405QM 5-string bass (in Transparent Black), which was discontinued, so we got a pretty good deal on it...
